Sepatula Series

I was writing an email to my friend expressing to him that because I had no art supplies I was creating this work with only a spatula and mostly house paint.
I made a typing error and spatula became sepatula.  He thought it a great idea so this work became my Sepatula Period.

Many years ago, I painted a series of about 80 paintings called "Conversation" and "Expression" which were made up of masks and faces.  The Sepatula Series is a continuation of that work...an exploration.
